Well where to start? Well my name is Mindy and I am a mini Dachshound. In January of 2010 I moved in with Glenn and Tammy who both ride motorcycles. Well one day they went for a ride and I got to go along.
In the picture, you can see that I ride in a cute little tank bag. This bag use to belong to Rocky a little bit smaller Dachshound so shortly after this picture was taken, I got my very own and slightly larger tank bag.
Both bags are very safe with straps to tie them to the motorcycle and a special strap inside that clips to my body harness so I don't fall out. The new bag has a lot more room and is fully insolated so I stay much warmer. And if it starts to rain, I can always duck inside and let the flap fold up over me.
Glenn says the bag makes it a little tough to turn at very low speeds like in a parking lot or in the garage. But out on the road at normal riding speed the motorcycle drives just fine and turning is not a problem.
I really enjoy riding although I was a little nervous the first couple times out. But now, I get all excited as soon as I see the harness come out because I know it is time to go riding. I have even gotten the hang of sticking my head righ in and helping to get myself dressed. And do love the attention I get when we stop places. People just love to come up and pet me and look at my fancy motorcycle tank bag.
I'll write little stories now and then to keep you up to date on my rides so check back every so often to see what new adventures I am having. I also hope to see you out on the road some day. I really like riding in a group with other people and even other pets although that really doesn't happen very often. I am one of the lucky few biker pets.
Happy Cycling!
