Motorcycle Mindy here. I finally got to take a ride on the Honda VTX-1300 and it was a blast!

This was my first time on the VTX. It was pretty cool. The tank is wider than on the GoldWing and I can see the road a bit better. You see, there are no instruments sitting between me and the window so I actually get to see right in front of me very easily. I kind of like that.

The wind screen is much smaller than on the GoldWing. I am not sure what to make of that little fact yet. I'll let you know after a few more trips.

We didn't go very far today. You see, Glenn had his bike in the shop for regular maintenance and to check on some issue with the trunk lock. Tammy and I had to take him to pick it up. He had to ride on the back (he he he). When I heard Tammy say that that he had to ride bitch, I thought he was going to be sitting on me. But then he got on the bike behind her so I am not quite sure what that term means. The rumble of the VTX was pleasing.

Once we got to the cycle shop, I had to sit and wait on the tank. I had a little accident when I slipped off and dangled from the side of the bike for a moment. You see, I am teathered to the tank bag so I didn't fall to the ground. I got a little scared and gave out a yelp and wet myself a little. But then I got scooped up and tucked back into the tank bag. No harm done other than my pride.

I know that most of the time I will be riding on the GoldWing but I do look forward to riding on the VTX again in the near future.
