Mrmeeks and I are going to hook up for a ride this morning.

Mel said he hasn't gotten out much in the area and doesn't know the roads well, so I offered to take him on a loop of the area around Roseburg.

Going to hit north bank road at Wilber then on to Glide hop on Little River road to Buckhorn road then down to Dixonville from there over to Green then on over to lookingglass and from there back to his place just out of town on Gardenvalley road.

If my calculations are correct this should be close to 90 miles and a good first get together ride.

Ride was good, took our time and each leg we stopped and chatted for awhile.

On the last section we came up to the Y in the road and I saw lots of gravel in the whole turn, I was going at a good clip and new it could cause a problem so I just went straight into the Y portion and stopped, told Mel that I may have been able to go through at that speed but wasn't going to chance one of us going down he understood as we had discussed some of the times he has been down.

Next ride will be up through Tiller to Crater Lake

I enjoyed meeting, talking with and riding with Charlie D. It was a enjoyable ride with great weather. Got to ride some new (to me) roads.
We'll have to get together again when our schedules let us.
Maybe we could meet up with the rest of the group some time.
Ride Safe!

sounds great. I would love to do some riding down your way. While I am out of commission currently when I am able to ride again I would like to head that way. Maybe we can meet in the middle or something.

Their is a very good ride that gos from Drain over to Reedsport then from just a half mile north on 101 there is a road that follows the river back over to the Eugene area.

We usually stop for a bit at the Elk viewing station then gas and grab a bite to eat in Reedsport then on to the almost 2 lane through the mountains lots of twist and turns and last time there were a few downed trees that had to be gone around.

This is not go like a bat outa He11 road a nice easy pace and enjoy the sites is much better.

Sounds good. Maybe once my ankle is healed we will still have some summer left. I would like to do that ride. Shoot, I would like to do any ride, especially now. But soon I hope I can ride again.
