Start Time: 10:00am
Start Location: K-Mart in Salem
Destination: Wooden Nickel in Sublimity (menu)
The Route: Google Maps

This will be a little early for lunch. I am predicting that we will get there around 11:00am maybe as late as 11:30am but no later than that for sure. This is a casual run through the farm country and up around the falls. We may stop for a moment at one of the pullouts near the falls and/or over looking the valley just to take in the view.

We will be taking the highway back to Salem but those that live in other directions are more than welcome to split off after lunch and go your own way. As usual, we mainly plan the trip up to the lunch stop when they are close to our home then everyone goes their own way after that. But you are also welcome to follow us all the way back into Salem if you like. This route shows the complete loop starting and ending at K-Mart.

Well Matt said he won't be able to make the ride either. And we all know that Greg and Eric won't be going. I wonder if anyone will be going on this one. I posted the ride mainly because we haven't had one in a couple weeks and it will be a couple more weeks after this weekend before I have time for another.

Oh well. This is the nature of the beast. Plan a ride and if people join great but if not that is ok too.

Sure you and Tammy still need to ride and eat Smile Wish I could go along. I was in the garage the other day trying to figure out how I could ride. No luck, I'll just have to wait till I am a little better. Maybe mid August I am hoping. I will have no idea till I see the doc again Aug. 3.
Well you guys ride this weekend and post details. If I can't ride I at least need to be able to read about you all riding.

Sorry I won't be going. This weekend is packed! There are 4 things on the calender just on saturday!!! I'm enjoying my Nighthawk. Still miss the oomph of the sabre though! Probably a good thing to back down a bit on the power for a while! I enjoy the handling of it though. Much quicker than the 1100 was. But I think that the sabre may have been able to take a corner better. I'm slowly approaching a "cautious" feel for it. Just for your information Jason found an engine today and I don't know if he got the bid on it or not. He was pretty excited that he might get it! It would be nice for him. He's been off the bike for over a year now! He's really itching to ride! So there Eric, your situation isn't as bad as you thought!!! The weather is great and we have so much to do we can't get in more than short rides!!! What's the deal!!! Heal fast Eric!

Any more pics of the rally? Jamie took me by in the cage just after you all were there. It looked like quite a few bikes. Was that all it was or was there more there? We also rode by the Harley shop and the parking lot was FULL of bikes. I hope this rally takes off. It would be nice to have a rally close to home.

I have some pictures I haven't gotten off of my phone yet. Not very many.

There were all the bikes parked all over the grass and that was kind of cool. There were tents where people were hawking their wares and food items. There were a couple events like a poker run, 50/50 drawing, door prizes. Sunday there was some sort of precession from Keizer to Salem water front but I didn't get to see that.

There was also a stage set up although the band hadn't set up by the time we got there. I think they also had a beer garden going in. We were there rather early and things were still just getting started. I have been tempted to take a break from working and head over today (Sunday) to see what is what but I have a lot to get done and I am not that motivated to leave the house right now.

I'll get the pictures online before the end of the day today. I just need to find my USB cable... Where did I put that thing? Mindy, did you eat my cable?
